Unilever: Millwright Apprentice 2026. The apprentice will participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as troubleshooting, through structured technical training under the supervision of qualified technicians and engineers. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in manufacturing and production environments, contributing to the development of your skills as a qualified installation and maintenance technician. Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified maintenance technicians in the maintenance and repair of production equipment and machinery
- Support the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Participate in planned, preventive, and emergency maintenance activities
- Assist in the installation, adjustment, and commissioning of equipment
- Learn and apply safe work procedures and engineering standards
- Use engineering tools and measuring devices correctly and safely
- Maintain hygiene standards in workshops and production areas. Complete work logs, training assessments, and learning requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability
- Comply with safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations in the factory environment
- Assist in the inspection and replacement of machinery components and spare parts
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma with a specialization in Mathematics and Physical Sciences
- N2/N3 qualifications or related engineering studies are a plus
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles
- Computer skills are a plus
- Availability to work shifts and overtime as needed
