About the Apprenticeship Program
The SENWES Equipment Technician Apprenticeship Program is a structured, three-year development program that combines on-the-job learning with technical training to equip apprentices with the knowledge and practical skills needed to maintain, diagnose, and repair agricultural equipment.
During the apprenticeship program, selected candidates will:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery and equipment
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance
- Participate in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Gain experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Support qualified technicians in workshop operations
- Assist in inventory and spare parts management
- Perform general management and maintenance tasks in the workshop
- Adhere to workshop safety rules and procedures
- Provide professional customer service and technical support
- Participate in product-specific technical training and development programs.
Training and Development
During the apprenticeship program, candidates may be required to:
- Attend practical and theoretical training courses
- Complete distance learning modules, where required
- Participate in training programs with suppliers and manufacturers
- Attend internal technical development initiatives
- Complete practical and job-related assessments
Commit to the Apprenticeship Program
The apprenticeship program is designed to prepare specialized technical personnel for the agricultural sector. Trainees are expected to:

- Successfully complete all scheduled training phases
- Demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, and a commitment to development.
If trainees fail the training modules or assessments, they will be required to retake them at their own expense
Job Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- High School Diploma (Grade 12) or currently pursuing it
- Mathematics, Technical Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics (N2 level), or Engineering Mathematics (Basic Mathematics skills will not be accepted)
- Valid or currently obtaining a driver’s license
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- A genuine interest in mechanics, machinery, and the agricultural sector
